Lachlan Hardware Bakura

Bakura

Bakura is my current laptop purchased to get me through my final year of uni, is nothing special as I did not have a lot of money. The first of the Vista laptops.

I have made various modifications to it over the years.

Incase you are wondering, it is a Lenovo Z61t (the Z series are no-longer made). It is an awesome little computer despite a few nuisances (I has dead pixels).

  • Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz
  • Intel GMA945
  • 14" 1280 x 800 LCD
  • 2 GiB (2x1) Kingston DDR2 667 MHz SO-DIMM
  • 500 GB Fujitsu 5400 RPM
  • Ultrabay slim DVD-R 8x
  • 4 cell standard battery
  • Ultrabay slim 3 cell battery
  • Intel 802.11abg wireless
  • Bluetooth
  • Gigabit LAN
  • 54k modem
  • PC card slot
  • SD card reader
  • 3 USB 2.0
  • Firewire 400
  • Advanced Mini Dock
  • BenQ 19"
  • Microsoft bluetooth presenter mouse
  • 2.2 kg

As you can see it is a modest little workhorse that I was able to take to uni every day and still had a bit of power to it. It has been with me all over Australia and New Zealand through countless airport screenings.
